Our Program

BSS knows how girls learn, and our Reggio inspired program has been designed specifically with the young learner in mind.

This educational approach gives value to the ideas that children have and empowers their capacity to enrich others in their quest to interpret the world around them. It values the strength inherent in children’s understandings, encourages them to construct and develop their ideas with the guidance of the adults around them, and express their learning in visible ways, such as drawing, writing, and other formats. In this way, each child is able to contribute to the understanding of the entire class.

Students work in groups where they’re encouraged to discuss, critique, compare, hypothesize and problem solve together. Investigation work can last a week, or even continue throughout the year, and learning becomes an adventure as different subjects and topics are explored together.
