The Learning Commons, which includes the library, BSS museum and archives, Mac workstations and conference room, addresses the needs of 21st century teaching and learning. As a hub for new initiatives, it serves as a gateway into the vast world of information, exploration, learning, interactivity, creativity, and production.

Through the use of social networking tools, students can move beyond the walls of BSS and engage in global learning. As a physical and virtual learning commons, it is a place for learning to occur individually and in large and small groups.

The Learning Commons is also the experimental hub of the school. Both teachers and students can investigate new ways of learning and engage in professional development, information literacy, and technological investigations.
