Scholarships

Universities compete with each other for students, and offer financial incentives to attract the apples of their respective eyes. They look for well rounded students – not just high academic achievers. Most scholarships are rewarded based on merit (as opposed to financial need) and no scholarships are guaranteed, even to students with extremely high marks.

University scholarship amounts range from a few hundred dollars up to $25 000 or more. In Grade 12, students will have the opportunity to review their options and apply to the scholarships that they think are a good fit. Students meet with their counsellor once they decide to put forth an application.

BSS Student Services hosts a scholarship information session each fall to help guide students through the search and application process.
