Academic Adventures

BSS students continue to dive deep into learning, from technological creations to scientific explorations and rigorous research. Check out some recent highlights.
  • Grade 6 innovators designed and brought to life their very own 3D avatars. From concept to creation, they learned valuable lessons in digital modelling, problem-solving and 3D printing technology.

  • Grade 7 students dissected owl pellets – a regurgitated mass of undigested parts of an owl’s food that can include exoskeletons, plant matter, fur and more. By examining the diverse diets of owls, students learned about the intricate world of predator-prey relationships.

  • In AP Research, students presented the findings of their yearlong investigations addressing a topic of their choice. Students reviewed existing literature, compared qualitative and quantitative data, crafted and tested a hypothesis, and wrote an academic paper. Through this inquiry, they learned how to conduct research, use ethical practices and analyze information effectively.

This week was also Pride Week, a time to celebrate love, diversity and our authentic selves. Check out Instagram for photos of this week’s activities and theme day!
