Alumnae Giving

For more than 150 years, alumnae have contributed to the life of our school long after their graduation. This deep connection reflects the enduring values of their BSS experience, and their desire to give back to the school that helped shape their lives.
Financial support from alumnae helps ensure the excellence they experienced as BSS students continues for future generations. Alumnae give back not only as an expression of gratitude but also as a way of preserving and enhancing the legacy of BSS. They choose to direct their donations to various meaningful priorities, including individual Class Funds, the Old Girls’ Association Bursary Fund, areas that resonate with their time at BSS, or the Area of Greatest Need, which empowers the Head of School to respond to the school’s immediate priorities. Whether large or small, each gift strengthens our ability to offer a world-class education, and prepare future generations of BSS students to lead with confidence and compassion.

Ways to Give

Class Funds
Many alumnae choose to support our Financial Assistance program through their Class Fund, leaving a legacy of generosity that will benefit future students. All Class Funds are endowed, meaning gifts are held in perpetuity with the investment earnings disbursed to the school each year.

The Old Girls’ Association Bursary Fund
Our alumnae are vital partners in helping make a BSS education affordable and inclusive. This fund has made BSS accessible to students no matter their financial situation for more than 25 years.

Reunion Giving
Each year, we celebrate our alumnae during Reunion, drawing Old Girls from around the world back to our campus to reconnect, renew friendships and engage with the school and one another. During Reunion, many alumnae choose to donate to BSS to honour their milestone graduation year and give back.

The Oak Door Circle
To celebrate young alumnae, this giving circle honours those who have contributed $500 or more cumulatively by their 15th Reunion year. Members receive a BSS-branded bracelet in recognition of their contributions that ensure future students can access the enriching experience they once enjoyed.
