Emma's Garden

Grade 12 students were tasked with designing beautiful, weather-resistant and durable signage for Emma's Garden.
They began the design process by sketching and annotating their concepts, focusing on the dimensions and features. After selecting materials like plywood, hardboard or acrylic based on environmental impact and longevity, they learned graphic design principles. Students applied their knowledge using Adobe Illustrator and created prototypes with laser-cut Bristol board. With guidance from landscape engineers on material choices and sizing, students presented their designs to a panel who chose the winning design. This project honed their skills in project management, design thinking and presentation.
