Breaking Barriers with Financial Assistance

Are you considering an independent school but not sure how to afford it? At BSS, we believe cost shouldn’t be a barrier to an outstanding education.
That’s why we have more than $2.1 million in financial assistance available to current and incoming Day and Boarding students — the most of any girls’ school in Canada. BSS is also the only girls’ school in Toronto to offer financial assistance from Grades 6 to 12.

Financial assistance supports families who need extra help with tuition, as well as school-related costs such as supplies, textbooks, technology, uniforms and more. The amount of assistance can range from $2,500 to full tuition, based on financial need. Students are also eligible to apply for assistance to offset the costs of BSS Summer Academy courses and one out-of-province or international Global Learning trip during their time at school. Additionally, we offer a number of scholarships, awarded based on academic, leadership and/or artistic achievements, in amounts ranging from $2,500 to $20,000.

Applications for financial assistance are reviewed by an independent third party, which then makes a recommendation based on the family’s financial information.
