Meagan Enticknap

Deputy Head of School
Meagan has a breadth of experience as a teacher, Director of Academics and Innovation, Lead Educator, and Deputy Head, Middle and Senior School at Elmwood School in Ottawa.  

Beginning her career as an elementary teacher, Meagan became a leader at schools all over the world where she developed connected curricula, implemented innovative teaching and learning, and built professional development programs for faculty. In particular, she spent three years as Director of Academics and Innovation at the United Nations International School in Hanoi, Vietnam.  Her wider leadership includes Lead Educator with the International Baccalaureate Organisation, and as an instructor in international education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE). These experiences contributed to her expertise in academic and co-curricular programming, her strategic perspective and commitment to a collaborative and inclusive school culture, and her belief that relationships with and between parents, students, faculty, alumni and the broader community help to create a dynamic learning environment. 

Meagan embraces a growth mindset in all of her endeavors. As a dedicated student of leadership, she delves into research and best practices, continuously seeking to enhance her understanding. She advocates for the evolution of education to better equip students for the dynamic world they inhabit. Drawing from schools worldwide, she integrates diverse perspectives into her approach, aiming to develop comprehensive programming that benefits the whole school.
