BSS Volunteer Service Award

Volunteers are vital to our mission to empower girls through education. By modelling the Signature of a BSS Girl, our volunteers embrace and demonstrate voice, leadership, a growth mindset and ethical citizenship – and inspire students and fellow community members to do the same. 

The BSS Volunteer Service Award is open to any BSS parent or alumna who has contributed significant time and talent in support of the school (e.g. as a grade or year rep, committee member, classroom guest, trip chaperone, event coordinator, etc.). Each year, up to three volunteers will be recognized for their commitment, character and leadership. Recipients will be selected by the Development Committee of the BSS Board of Governors (which includes parents, alumnae and Advancement staff) and honoured at an annual recognition event in June.
